Thank you for the honor of being your PCAPPA President. First off, I would like to thank our PCAPPA 2011 host, Mr. Bob Andrews and Mr. Ric Williams for CSU East Bay!  What a great conference!  Bob and Ric provided a huge amount of educational and networking opportunities for our members!  Their Partnership with the CSU and CleanSource helped us provide a top notch conference!  Mr. David Woodson from University of British Columbia is our host for PCAPPA 2012, where we will be partnering with APPA national in Denver, July 17-19, 2012.   The registration cost for this annual conference will be available to all PCAPPA members at a significantly discounted rate making it a great opportunity to experience an APPA national conference at a PCAPPA rate!  David has a very exciting agenda for us!  After Denver, we are looking forward to heading down to San Diego in the fall of 2013, where Mr. David Umstot from the San Diego Community College District will be our host.    For 2014, we are looking for a host in either Northern California or Oregon.

I would like to thank Ms. Kathleen Schedler our 2010-2011 PCAPPA President for her great leadership this past year as well as Mr. Tony Ichsan, who stepped in again as our Senior Representative to APPA. 

With all the momentum we have gained recently, I anticipate a wonderful year ahead of us!  We are continuing our effort to provide more opportunities for our members as well as reaching out to our fellow Facilities Professionals in the Community Colleges and K-12.  Your board has engaged Lander Medlin and John Bernhard from APPA national to help us provide all of the wonderful things that are available to our members.  From the FPI (Facilities Performance Indicators), BOK (Body of Knowledge), Credentialing opportunities, Scholarships, Supervisor’s Toolkit and APPA-U to the Drive-In Workshops, PCAPPA  is there to help you grow!
All of this activity could not be possible without our board members who have volunteered to serve you.   We are here to support you.  We all need each other if we are to succeed, and YOU are the reason that the board exists.  Take a look at the leadership page and ask how you can become involved or maybe you just want to provide your input to the board members.  In any case, we appreciate your feedback!
